As well as recently obtaining its third Green Flag through Eco-Schools, this school also participates actively in Keep Wales Tidy, Welsh Water, Healthy Schools and Fairtrade initiatives, which led to their category win in the 2005 Teaching Awards, winning the award for Healthy Schools in Wales.
