Cycling4SEEd's major milestone

Hello from a sunny/wet/cold/windy John o'Groats!

It's been an amazing journey since Cyclin4SEEd left Land's End on March 12th. Now they are mid-way through the 1500 miles route at the very top of the UK.

Massive thanks to St Andrews Students

Following Cycle4SEEd as they travel the backbone of the UK

Getting on the Road - Saturday 10th March

NEXT UNESCO survey for the Decade - will we be a blank space again?

Back in 2010 (or was in 2009) I went with the UK delegation to Bonn for the mid Decade for ESD Global Conference in the old Bundestag. Amazing experience but somewhat confusing. There was a moment (24 hours actually) when I nearly managed to get 'socially critical thinking' in the Bonn Declaration - but they decided they didn't know what it meant and took it out! Anyway UNESCO UK National Committee had been leading the drive to collate our responses and answers for the Decade, but struggled with the last survey and so on the day it looked like there was no ESD in the UK!

National Sustainable Schools Online Conference 2011- A Facilitator's Experience

SEEd’s Online National Sustainable Schools Conference 2011 ran from 19th October to 9th December in parallel to the two regional events in London and Leicester. I was privileged to be the main facilitator this year. It was a great pleasure to be involved and to witness so much creativity in one virtual space.

London's National Sustainable Schools Conference - A SEEd intern's account

On the 21st of October I attended the National Sustainable Schools Conference at London Zoo.  As it was only my second day interning for SEEd the day proved a fantastic introduction to the sort of event SEEd works to put on, and an exhilarating start to my time with them!
